Hi . to the year 1s

hi guys. wonderful blog this is. hope to use this frequently for communication . to the years 1, i want to comment on the hardwork that some of u have put in. some of u improved trememdously since when u come in on april. way to go guys!! i hope u guys can continue to commit, by comig for band practices and sectionals, i know its tiring and difficult for some of u, given that u have diploma plus and dunnoe wad pigu, but i believe u guys can do it.......with commeitment, band will be fun. today sect was great, though not everyone was here. we can continue to improve yar.......and for some of u guys that are better than ur snrs(this isvery common in sp, not tat snr is lousy), hope u can be patient with them also, hope u dun look down on them. haha.......erm......for some of u yr 1s that may not know, here are some of the " band manners" that i hope we can take note during band practices.

firstly, no one talks when conductors talks to another sect. this sounds like duh, but sometimes we do not oblige. sometimes there are just so many things to talk about, like the music is nice, your clarinet is out of tune, ur keys of the clarinet abit stiff, and stuff. but dont talk when laoban talks, its not polite. secondly, if u encounter a prob when playing and when laoban is conducting, dun stop halfway take out ur clarinet and then start to ask for help. you shd sort this out during the break, and if u are out of tune, listen to each other acutely and try to match pitch. stopping halfway to talk when THE MUSIC IS STILL ON kills the music. now, i know some of u maybe the sense of pitch not so gd yet, but try to adjust, my pitch is not too gd also. then lastly, when ur snr is playing, do not distract ur snr, this may cause the snr to be lost in the music. and pls hor, if ur snr ever get lost in the music, dont go and mislead he or she may pointing to the wrong bar,

may ur sect grow and prosper, year 1s u are our future, our hope lies in you. thks. and all the best.

with love,
senior fabian
